14. “I truly feel like everyone is a genius at something. In other words, there’s something that you can do… or know about… than most any other person. What special thing are you a genius of?”

This is pretty interesting. Most people know that their REALLY good at something… but they really don’t talk about it.

Maybe it’s an obscure hobby, perhaps its something that no one has ever heard of…

Regardless, it’s great conversation and again NOBODY has asked her this.

15. “What’s your favorite wild animal?”

I wonder if anyone’s ever thought of this… but I’m sure they have.

Look, the favorite animal will most probably be indicative of what her life is like.

For instance, I like cheetahs… always have. Apparently, this means that I like and thrive when life is fast… moving and shaking.

Think about the characteristics of the particular wild animal and she most likely will probably have a huge similarity in one way or another.

16. “What did you want to be when you were a kid?”

I like this question because it usually brings people into a interesting state of mind. Maybe it’s funny. Maybe it’s sad. Hopefully, she’ll say something like, “Well, you aren’t going to believe this but…”

Either way, you can work the convo in any number of directions.

Anyway, enough about that… you want questions… lots of great questions.

So, in this installment of my “21 Questions” series… we are going to talk about the “assumptive close” to keep the conversation going.

13. “How does your day look tomorrow?”

You know, there’s probably 15 million ways to structure this question… and to be honest… I don’t care if people say that this question sucks… or whatever.

The reason nice guys finish last IS BECAUSE THEY NEVER TRY TO CLOSE… IN ANY WAY!

They are afraid to take anything to another level… because they are afraid of rejection.

Who fucking cares?

I don’t know about the rest of you… but I like to have a reason to call someone… and I like to have at LEAST a soft plan in place for the next interaction.

Because… dammit… my time IS important.

But that’s not the real reason that I ask a question like this. Think about it this way… if she commits to grabbing coffee with you… or going to Target… or hitting the strip club… she’s AT LEAST curious enough about you and there’s some type of attraction there.

Are you following me?

So, if you’re going to be around an establishment for a while… why not take this as a launching point to have more fun?

Sure… you could eject out if you want… but if she’s a pretty cool girl… why not stick around for a little while longer and amp up the attraction EVEN more.

To me… getting someone’s number… and then bouncing really quickly can be grounds for flaking. I like to think about it like you having sex with her… and then leaving immediately afterward.

Why give off that signal? Why not make the “plans and number” part of the show nonchalant… like it’s just part of the ride… not the end of the road.

Remember, she’s given you her number… she’s made a plan… she’s saying that she is interested… so KEEP moving forward.

Build more rapport… get to know her even better… use it as a stepping stone.

But for heaven’s sake… ask for the sale… lol

Here are two of my favorite questions… in continuation of my 21 questions series… to help get her thinking out possibly taking it to another level with you.

11. “Are you trying to take advantage of me?”

Ah… one of the most fun questions out there.

Use this one ANYTIME… especially when you want to make her feel like she’s chasing you

It shows that you have a sense of humor… plus… she’ll usually smile and make some sort of physical contact with you like nudging you or hitting you on the shoulder. To which you can always reply… “You know… it bothers me that you think I’m that easy.”

I always get lots of laughs, comfort, and rapport with this one and you can use it to spice up things at ANY point in a relationship… even if you’re married.

12. “What do you think those two are thinking?”

For this one, you need a prop… namely… another couple that seem to be googly-eyed over each other… or displaying incredible PDA.

Naturally, she’ll probably talk about them getting a room or something like that to which you can always reply… “Is your mind ALWAYS in the gutter? I can’t believe that’s all you think about. Now I know what your plans are with ME… but you have to know that I’m not THAT easy.

Okay… enough for today…

Are you ready to delve a little deeper in our 21 Questions realm?

I thought so.

Before I start… let me say this. Almost ALL emotional responses are good…

Some emotion is better than no emotion. Sad is better than nothing. Remember, asking questions that bring about emotions are golden… because you can always swing a person to the state that you want.

Anger, sadness, hurt… these can all be good things to bring about… as long as YOU aren’t the person that these emotions are about. Let me show you what I mean.

8. “I’m curious… what are your biggest fears in life?”

Scary question. Pretty ballsy for most to pull off… but ask it anyway. I like this question because it transitions you to a person of authority… like a teacher… or a coach.

If you’ve heard of Robert Cialdini and his work on persuasion… you know that being an authority is one of his “Six Weapons of Influence”.

(more on this in a later post)

Maybe we alleviate those fears… or at least discuss them. But… I’ll tell you this… no one else is asking her.

Sure… it may be a little uncomfortable… but once she begins to reveal little fears… and you respond with empathy… she’ll begin to uncover more and more.

Look… people WANT someone that they can talk to this stuff about, but they don’t want to be judged for it.

So listen. Let her reveal things about herself that even her FRIENDS don’t know.

Reveal a little fear about yourself as well in trade… maybe you have a common fear… like the fear of failure… or of letting your parents down.

Fear is an interesting emotion. Everyone has fears… no one talks about them… but everyone WANTS to… if someone would just LISTEN.

9. “If I had something that I needed to tell you, but was afraid that you may take it the wrong way or it might hurt your feelings, would you want me to tell you anyway?”

It’s easy for someone to build rapport with someone when they know that the person is a straight shooter… remember… no one does this.

But here’s a twist…

What you are doing is letting someone know that you may be getting ready to drop a complete BOMB on them…

Then… what I want you to do is pay her a legitimate complement. An honest to goodness complement.

Talk about an emotional swing! Wow!

First, she’s given you PERMISSION to tell her something HARSH (which she’s now a bit nervous about).

Then… you slam home a terrific complement…

Do you think that this complement is going to mean more NOW that it ever would have before?

Abso-freakin-lutely.

Be careful though… she may start to smile uncontrolably and even punch you or call you “a bastard” in a playful sort of way.

Nice.

10. “When was the last time you felt like a complete klutz (bitch, asshole, whatever)?”

Again, we’re trying to get her to reveal a little about herself that may be a little painful… or uncomfortable.

Naturally, we’re going to have a little fun with this one… with playful joking and banter… like “I can’t believe YOU DID THAT, I seriously have to go… I can’t talk to someone who’s like that”

This one’s a great one to have fun with. Great for laughs and kino (punching, nudging, kicking under the table… which you accuse of being footsie).

Feel Me Flow…

Questions are good… but a STACK of questions that are used to get someone feeling strong emotions are much, much, better.

Case in point for my next installment of the 21 Questions series… my 4 question stack…

4. “So tell me, when was the last time that you were satisfied (completely happy) with your life”.

Ah… now we’re pulling someone into a state of remembering the good times. Naturally, when people THINK about good times… they FEEL good.

Delve into what makes someone happy… find out more about what makes them tick…

… then follow with…

5. “On a scale of 1-10… 10 being the best or happiest that you could possibly be… where were you back then”.

Okay, now we’re quantifying the happiness… and putting a numerical value to it… now the happiness is CONCRETE most people are going to say that they were a 10 back then… or maybe a 9.

If they say a 5… you should probably bail as this person will NEVER be happy.

After they finish… and maybe after a little small talk… follow with…

6. “Okay, where do you think you are on the happiness scale RIGHT NOW in your life”

Most people are going to give you a low ball number… and this question will probably get you a chuckle or two.

But… what we’re looking for is the CONTRAST between the two numbers given…

Think about it… if she just told you the she was 10 back in the day… but now she’s ONLY a 6 on the happiness scale… that STINGS a bit. Trust me. Now… we KNOW that she’s thinking about happiness and having fun… we drop the closing question…

7. “So how shall we remedy this situation. Obviously, you’re not as happy as you SHOULD be… how can we pull you up to a 10″

Of course, you give a sly smile as this just totally opened the conversation up to ANYTHING…

It could be a change of location… it could be a kiss… it could be going to the house and getting freaky.

Who knows… but the fact is that she now knows that she’s not as happy right now as she SHOULD be… and that generally brings about a sense of adventure… and maybe some risk taking.

Either way, she’s now looking to you to help in that department… and if I know you… you’ll gladly help out

Nevertheless… I’ve finally gotten off my ass and composed my list of “21 Power Questions” that you can ask a woman (or a man if you’re a woman reading this… sheesh… how many women ARE reading this?) to build MONSTER rapport and to get her to say those oh-so-special-words…

“I just feel so… COMFORTABLE… around you”

Are you ready? Remember… these questions… used correctly reveal A LOT… much more than meets the eye.

Here’s the 1st round of 3… more tomorrow.

We’ll start with my favorite…

1. “If you were to have a PERFECT DAY, what would it be like”

I love this question because it should put her in a comfortable state once she gets talking about it. Now, you may have to probe a little because I guarantee that she’s never thought about this before. Also, most people are going to try to make sure that their “perfect days” are up to standard… so she’ll be qualifying herself to you.

Hopefully, she’ll mention that she’d like to be doing something with someone that she cares about deeply… and that may have her looking at you with different eyes… since it will probably ring home that she doesn’t have that special someone right now… and that special someone could most probably be you.

Make sure that you have a great response to this one as she’ll more than likely ask you the same thing in return… so make it good…

2. “If you had a credit card with no limit… and that you didn’t have to pay back… what would you do with it (or what would you buy).”

This is a great question to find out where someone’s head is at. Are they severely materialistic… a possible gold digger? Do they have aspirations?

How creative is this person? Would they start their own business?

You can find out A LOT about a person’s goals and dreams this way. Again, you’re asking questions that no one else is asking.

3. “What’s the worst thing that you’ve done that you probably should have went to jail for”

I like this question because it’s funny… but it also sets the stage for some good natured ribbing… as well as opening her up for some adventure.

Trust me, no one wants to come off as a stiff and you can probably pull MULTIPLE INSTANCES of things to talk about.

Maybe she stole candy from a store as a kid… accuse her of being a kleptomaniac.

Maybe she broke something on purpose for revenge on someone… accuse her of being manipulative.

This is a good “psycho” alert question as well. Watch her eyes… you may be able to catch a “fiery” look if it’s a revenge thing.

Look… questions are POWERFUL and the right one’s can not only set the stage for a great conversation… but can deftly save you a lot of time if you know what you are looking for.

It’s time for you to be the “chooser”, instead of the “choosee”.
